About Meredith

Based in New York, Meredith has been performing regionally and professionally for 20+ years. Her acting experience includes professional and regional film, theatre, cabaret, voice over, and commercial work. For a number of years, Meredith has trained in, written, and performed various styles of comedy, including musical, standup, sketch, parody, and improv.

Meredith graduated from the University of Pennsylvania; studied long-form and musical improv, sketch comedy, character, and voiceover acting at The Magnet Theater, iO Chicago, UCB, The PIT, and Brooklyn Comedy Collective; trained in acting at The Barrow Group, MacGuffin Theatre and Film Company, and The Actors Center; and has taken over a decade of singing, music, and dance lessons with professionals across the Greater Philadelphia area and New York City. She is a songwriter in the Advanced BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop.

 

Meredith produces and hosts variety shows around New York City, she serves on the board of one of Philadelphia's top children's theatre companies, and she cultivates a community of over 70 NYC-based mulithyphenate artists for regular creative accountability meet-ups.

Solo Show

Joy Ride

Meredith sold out the entire run of her musical-parody-storytelling-comedy solo show, Joy Ride, at the 2024 NYC Fringe Festival, winning the Audience Choice Award. She also has staged the show in the Emerging Artist Theatre's New Work Festival in NYC and brought the show to Philly for two sold-out encore performances.

Off-Broadway Theatre

Scarcity

Meredith starred as Rachel in the original production of Lucy Thurber's Scarcity at the Atlantic Theater Company. She performed alongside Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Johnston, and Michael T. Weiss in the dark family drama, directed by Jackson Gay.

Sketch Comedy

Bloomers

For four years, Meredith performed and wrote with the all-female musical and sketch comedy group, Bloomers. In her final year with the group, she was also Cast Director. Meredith served on the board for the inaugural LaughtHERfest, a festival celebrating women in comedy.

Broadway Cabaret

The Singin' Bohemians

As an original member of the performing troupe, Meredith toured the Greater Philadelphia area for seven years. In her final year with the company, Meredith received an award for Best Cabaret Performance from MacGuffin Theatre and Film Company.

Improv Comedy

iO Intensive

Meredith was awarded the James Conklin Memorial Scholarship to study improv at the renowned iO Theater in Chicago. During the  program, she performed throughout the city, including in a show alongside the talented comics who make up the scholarship's board.

Lyricist

BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop

Meredith is currently a member of the Advanced BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, a program widely regarded as the premiere training ground for musical theatre composers, lyricists, and librettists.
