Joy Ride
Meredith's musical-parody-storytelling-comedy solo show, Joy Ride, was most recently performed at the NYC Fringe Festival, winning the Audience Choice Award and the Sell Out Award (for selling out the entire run before opening night!). She first staged the show in the Emerging Artist Theatre's New Work Festival in NYC, and she brought the show to Philly for two sold-out encore performances following that initial run. In addition to the full-length show, Meredith has crafted a version of Joy Ride that she performs in corporate settings as a creative storytelling workshop.

Developed in collaboration with director Samantha Evans (NYC Fringe) and with guidance from Seth Barrish (Solo Show @ The Barrow Group).

ABOUT THE SHOW
For over a decade, the Brandt family minivan saw many a carpool, many a round of license plate bingo, and many a fast-food run. And while this 2006 Toyota Sienna's days on the road have long run their course, the car still manages to serve as an excellent vehicle… for storytelling. Join musical comedian Meredith Brandt as she shares stories from her childhood minivan, told entirely through song parodies inspired by the albums that were forever stuck in the car's once-high-tech multi-disc CD player.

CORPORATE WORKSHOP
Meredith has used Joy Ride as a launching point for a creative storytelling workshop for corporate settings. She hosted her first of these workshops at the global brand consultancy Lippincott. She performed a stripped down version of the show and then guided the 75+ in-person and virtual participants through her tips and group exercises to draw creative inspiration from our own lives.
